I bought a Canyon CF SL 8.0 Disc in October 2019, Canyon were very helpful at the time, even reserving the bike for me at a sale price for two weeks to allow me to have a bike fit to make sure sizing was right with my bike fitter before ordering. Based on the bike fit I wanted a shorter reach cockpit, Canyon sent me a replacement cockpit to fit myself (I would have had to wait 10 weeks for a bike to be built with the correct cockpit otherwise) and I simply sent the old one back. The bike has been brilliant, I had an issue whereby I had caused damage to the bike, a very bad dropping of the chain under full power whilst climbing, there was a small chunk of carbon missing and I dropped the bike in Chessington for inspection. Canyon spotter corrosion to one of the aluminium inserts for the gear cable and offered to replace the frame free of charge. It took a month to get the frame from Germany and do a rebuild but I was very appreciative. Fast forward to September (23 months after purchase) this year and my hydraulic Ultegra lever failed, pulling all the way into the bar even after a rebleed. Canyon responded to my email the same day, confirmed that Madison were out of replacement levers and asked me to purchase a new lever which they promptly reimbursed me for, this was then fitted by my local bike shop who used the credit from Madison to offset the cost or labour. This cost Canyon nearly £200 and there was no hesitation whatsoever. The quality of the bike and the after sales care has left me highly impressed and I would certainly buy from Canyon again when the time comes to replace the bike.

Hope there was an option to change the stem length and handlebar width.

The Canyon Roadlite 6 is a great bike if you are thinking about moving to a road bike, but not sure if drop bars are right for you. The bike arrived in a thick well-packed box. The internal packing was well thought out including foam and Velcro wraps to protect the frame and components. It was shipped across the country and not a single scratch on the bike. It took about one-half hour to unpack and assemble. I really appreciate that the bike comes with a tool kit that includes a torque driver. The performance of this bike is amazing. The Shimano 105 group set provides smooth shifting through my 16-mile daily exercise routine which involves 400 feet of elevation change. The hydraulic disc brakes provide precise control through downhill curves. I will never ride a bike with rim brakes again! The Schwalbe G-One Speed tires are fast and surprising comfortable. I mostly ride on dry/wet pavement and the tires have great traction. I ride aggressive and this bike is so fun to dive into corners and turns. I changed the bike to make if perfect for me. I swapped the saddle in favor of my fluid saddle from my old bike. I also spent $40 on a new adjustable stem and 30mm riser handlebar for a more comfortable riding position, somewhere in between factory and traditional hybrid position. It puts me in a more aerodynamic position without killing my hands, neck, and back. I can now crush the hills on my ride. The only issue I had is one of the tires had a bad tube out of the box. I replaced the tube and called Canyon to report this issue. Canyon answered on the second ring and they credited my VISA for the cost of the tube. Great customer service! I have about 250 miles on the bike and I have thoroughly enjoyed every mile!

I was fortunate enough to check on the site just as some Grail 7 AL 1X11 bikes were available and quickly purchased one. I'm thrilled to own one and can't believe the quality and pricing. This bike is perfect for the gravel roads of Vermont, but also is versatile enough to ride on pavement when I need to. The gearing still lets me get up 20% grades while also being able to maintain good speed on flats. While I could see changing to a two-ring crank, I like the simplicity of no front derailleur. This bike is a great compromise between a mountain bike and road bike. The aluminum frame is comfortable and responsive. Not sure I could tell the difference between it and a carbon frame if blindfolded. But then again I would crash not being able to see and that would give me a clue as to which material is better. Canyon bikes are quick to assemble out of the box and ready to ride.
