After years of buying mainly from Ocado we were recommended to try Pipers Farm, by a friend. I'm not entirely unfamiliar with them, as I used to live in the west-country and bought meat from them from time to time whenever I was passing. What I hadn't tried was the meat by mail service.On my first order I was a little nervous as to whether it would defrost in transit, but I really needn't have worried. We bought one of the essentials meat boxes, and it arrived in tip top condition.Having used just over half the box I have to say that I am astounded by the quality. The roasting Chicken was out of this world - with a proper texture - not like those horrible soft jelly textured fast reared blobs of meat that pass for normal supermarket chicken. This one had some substance - and the flavour was just like I recall from childhood. I don't think I will ever want to eat a supermarket chicken again. All the meat we got is really tasty - and I've found that with the mince the quality is so good that I've actually used less of it per portion - whilst producing a result which is, if anything, far more tasty. So a win all round.Now to be fair it isn't cheap - but when you factor in the quality, enjoyment, and the fact that I can get away with using a little less in each recipe - thus following health advice that we should all eat slightly less meat - I think overall this is a no-brainer. Pipers farm for the win!

Very nice meat and cheese. Very well packed. Cannot wait to tuck in to a lovely Chinese stir fry with the items in my pack. I have already sampled the cheese and it is first class. Will definitely order more later on.

I have ordered multiple times and so far the quality was great and very consistent, unlike some other online butchers. I like some cuts of meat are prepared "continental" style without slab of skin on them. The choice could be better however ie no pork ribs available. Also loads of plastic is being used. I know Pipers promises improvements in this area but this seems to be ongoing for a while now.

We have recently ordered from Pipers Farm for the first time and have been very impressed with the quality of the meat and the process or ordering and delivery. My father and his parents had a butchers shop for many years, so I know meat which is of high quality. Pipers Farm share lots of information with you too, and that makes you more confident in their ethos. From our first order, we can highly recommend. The complementary Jersey Milk was a lovely treat too.

I bought venison saddle fillet from Pipers Farm and the quality of the meat was just amazing. I am so pleased to tell you that our Sunday lunch with friends was FANTASTIC and they all enjoyed the venison that was cooked perfect. The fillet was the biggest I ever seen anywhere else and it was like cutting through butter.....so soft and the taste was absolutely delicious.
