SHOUT OUT TO JANE!! Although I had to call 10 different numbers, I was able to get thru to an agent after holding for only 40 mins (ONLY HAHA) and was able to get a full refund for our Hawaii trip in April. We actually booked a non-refundable rate, but due to the pandemic Hyatt was lenient on their policy and approved for Hotels.com to issue us a full refund. Please keep in mind that the agents are working hard to get thru the calls and it does not help if you are panicking. They understand and will do their best to help you.

Booked a room with Hotels.com as a key worker needing to stay overnight, they and charged to my card on 6th April. Gave my card to the Hilton for breakfast and parking only. They charged me for the room again. Hilton are stating that Hotels.com have not paid for the room therefore will not provide a refund until they get paid from Hotels.com.I have called Hotels.com few times for refund, as it stands (1 Month later) they have still not provided refund. All I wanted was a nights accommodation as it stands I'm in a piggy in the middle battle between Hotels.com and the Hilton!!!! Be very careful with Hotels.com they have taken my money to are certainly not quick to resolve. Issue now resolved and refunded.

SHOUT OUT TO JESSA !!!!!!!!!

After 3 days of trying to call Hotels.com and waiting for hours on hold, I finally got through. I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO JESSSA !!!!!!!, the Customer Service representative whom I was able to talk to. Because she really took her time and effort to assist and help me with my trip cancellation, I was not able to get a refund on my airline tickets, BUT, I was able to get a voucher for Future Travel Credit, w/o any penalty or additional charges. which I think is good, considering the fact that my booking is non refundable. I still did not loose the money that I paid for my ticket. Also she was able to negotiate with the hotel that I will be staying to get the full refund amount. I know it is very frustrating to call and not get any answer, but at this time we just have to keep trying, because of the hundreds or thousands of call that are on que. THANK YOU AGAIN HOTELS.COM AND TO JESSA FOR HELPING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 2 hotel reservations for the coming Spring break in April which is prepaid and no cancellation. I called several numbers more than 20 times and some calls were drop. I keep trying, it may seems these numbers is non working number but just keep calling. It's probably due to high call volume. after 28 minute in total silence somebody answered my call. Give me a full refund and everything was settled in our 5 minutes call. I got confirmation emails for my refund. Please just be patient guys. i know it seems like a pain. Just be nice to the customer service, its not their fault they are receiving calls non stop. Just tell them what you want done and I'm sure they will give you the help you need. be patient.

I am happy with using and have done business with Hotels.com for several years. I did have an issue with a REFUND on a CANCELLED hotel booking for April 02. 2020. It has been almost a month with no refund so I was getting concerned, once I actually spoke with a person at Hotels.com I was assured that the parent company (Expedia) did in fact initiate a refund on the day I cancelled, but that the money was taken out of my account by the Hotel property itself and I will have to call them to get my refund status. (He even called the hotel for me but it's after hours here and I'll need to speak to the manager there tomorrow). It definitely is frustratingly difficult to actually get to talk to a human, and it is not very clear on their website the actual steps to take when the "chat bot" dismisses you, (disclaimer- not verbatim, that agents are busy, check back later) But since this is an unprecedented time in world history and no one really has an actual "play-book" I'm giving them a break! I was treated courteously by Hotels.com customer service and believe that once I speak to the hotel property my issue will be resolved. I will book with them again!

I tend to only write reviews when I have a bad experience and my review of Prestigia after they refused a refund (despite their 100% refund guarantee) for my hotel stay in Vegas is evidence of that. But it is only fair that I provide a positive review in the current crisis for any companies that I had used to book my US road trip and I have to say Hotels.com have been great. Easy cancellation for those rooms I booked with free cancellation and money refunded straight away, and for the rooms I chose the cheaper option on without free cancellation I still received a full refund.I know other reviews state otherwise, but I can only comment for myself, and so when the world returns to some normality I will remember those companies that refunded without any problem.

Everything has been perfect when we had to cancel our trip. Reminding everyone that it's not hotels.com job to get the customer a refund, that's really the insurance company's job, but hey, they have managed to talk to all the hotels and everything has been refunded. Also. The people taking the phone. That can't be an easy job, with all that frustration and stress. Thank you people that I've been in contact with, you have been excellent!Keep up the good work!
