The Lidl in Woodley precinct is always very very busy. There is rarely any staff on the shop floor and the till queues are bordering on crazy. I understand that this is common place at Lidl and does help keep their prices lower, but there is a balance. The positives are the price of items and variety of European foods.

We have been using Lidl for about 19 years and despite their not so helpful help from Head Office we find their goods overall very good value for money. Staff level at our Store in Blackpool are always friendly helpful despite doing a very boring job. Where they go wrong in my opinion is not having a direct telephone line to each store as people who are disabled and have to take a taxi to check to see if they got any apples in store is a joke. Management says its not always able to get the Manager to check stock when in reality a young person designated to answer persons questions could result in potential new customers. After all its the people who make any store. We always take back AWOL Trollies or inform Lidl where their £149 trollies are located We wrote to LIDL via email with photo they did return but without any compensation update 30 of January 2020 25 Febuary 10 pounds arrived Thank you Fr Anthony Rainbow Bridge Sanctuary Grosvenor St FY1 3EX

I absolutely adore lidls in Wallingford!No frills, loads of thrills!If only lidls had arrived 35 years ago in Wallingford, as I say to my children, I'd have been a millionairess!Can we claim some sort of PPI??

The staff at my local Lidl are always helpful, polite and friendly. My local Lidl is Wolseley Road, Plymouth. The manager must run a good ship. I am not related to any staff member and I shop there every week,sometimes two or three times a week. I recommended this store to a friend who always shops at Morrison and he was really impressed and said how glad he was that I did that and he will shop there again.

I’ve been shopping in this store for years, staff are as always cheerful and helpful while trying to keep the shop well stocked and clean, it’s even more appreciated in this unprecedented time! Job well done to Mel and all the staff

Overall LIDL's is great value but........just received a £10 voucher this morning (a cut out in the Scottish Daily Mail). The paper's front cover states £10 off when you spend £40.... at LIDL (logo) NO CATCH coupon inside!.(Page 43)‘NO CATCH’ draws my immediate attention (and makes me suspicious)..... there is a catch and the catch is ..... Valid from today (9th November 2019) until 14th November 2019. [Additionally not applicable to alcohol – probably the law in Scotland – but still a restriction or catch]. That seems like a real deliberate 'CON'. I guess many people will cut the coupon, place in their wallet / purse and try to use on their next purchase - which may well be after 14th November - i.e. when the coupon has expired. The expiry on this NO CATCH coupon is only valid for 5-6 days (assuming you read the paper today). I have certainly used LIDL coupons in the past - but having just completed this week’s shop I'd find it very annoying if I turned up next Friday (15th) only to be refused.Just seems a little unreasonable unless of course LIDL's hope people will not use before 15th November. Whilst this maybe regarded as a 'SMART move' by some Marketing Executive I'd suggest this 'sharp practice' just alienates regular users of the store. I guess the SMARTER promotion would be not to state NO CATCH in the first instance

Today 19th February at 18.46 pm I checked out with a 31% reduction on a £3.29 Chicken drumsticks & thighs. Not checking the till’s lack of recognition of discount I got home and realised Lidl’s error.It would seem you have to tell staff of discounted items as this is my second experience in a week at Horsham.OFT or Weights & Measures tomorrow then.

Good prices. Affordable and cheap. I’ll definitely come back to Lidl again. Friendly staff too ! Thank you
